Ensemble: The Rainy Season Shall Not Return
In the winter of 18 years, I visited a good friend in Canary, Spain.
The moons of the Canary Islands are clear as water, and the stars are light and sparse.
I stand barefoot on the burning hot sand,
I listened to the sea breeze and looked at the Sahara in the distance,
Every day when the red sun disappears at sea level,
I envy her simple life.
Her life, only their own red brick houses, an end of the island, and the boundless desert.
This song is for her, my good friend Melanie Lopez.
