"Gradient" implies apart sloping upward or downward. The tonal characteristies of the quartet reminded me of soft, perfect gradients colors. Transitioning from one plane ot another, transforming from one sound texture to the next. In this process, four string instruments intertwine, spiraling upwards, ent wining, merging, and then separating, akin to a spiral dance.
